Bio
Kendra Taylor has been painting since the age of 15, but has been in love with art since she first stepped in front of a painting in the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, at the tender age of 5. Born in L.A. but raised in New Mexico, Taylor earned her dual B.A. degrees in Art History and Art Conservation with a minor in Chemistry at New Mexico State University in 2007. Shortly after graduation, Taylor studied at the Studio Art Centers International in Florence for a semester and returned to New Mexico where she interned for the well-respected conservator Steven Prins. Following her internship with Prins, Taylor moved to Chicago and interned at the Chicago Conservation Center, which included an invitation to work conserving murals in Orange, Texas. Following her return to Chicago, Taylor began painting and drawing again and continues to paint portraits as well as other commissioned works.
