Beneath the Surface

Earth-toned, nature-inspired abstracts for calm, modern spaces

Beneath the Surface grew from an interest in the quiet patterns within nature — the layers that hold the marks of time. Each piece explores how colour and texture echo growth, erosion, and renewal.

Designed to bring depth, warmth, and a sense of calm presence into a space — the kind that settles quietly and draws you in over time.

About Beneath the Surface

This series looks closely at the quieter worlds within nature — where layers gather, colours shift, and time leaves its marks.

Each piece balances organic forms, textured layers, and earthy, elemental tones drawn from earth, water, mineral, and ember-warm light. Together, they reflect how growth, erosion, decay, and renewal unfold slowly beneath the surface — often unnoticed, but always in motion.

At its core, the work explores a quiet complexity — the sense that even in stillness, something is continuing to evolve.

A calm, grounding presence in a space, bringing warmth, depth, and a natural rhythm into the room.

Hear From Collectors

“I wasn’t sure which one to go for at first, but once it arrived it just worked straight away. It’s added a calm, warm feel to the room without taking over. Exactly what I was hoping for.”

Laura Bennett — Breath of Water

"The Memory of Earth looks so at home in my lounge. The colours are amazing, so warm. It looks even better in real life. Kendra was super helpful. Even sent me colour swatches so I can match my cushions. I'll definitely be back for more!"

Wendy Parks — The Memory of Earth

“The textures and colours are even better in person. It has a real depth to it that you don’t quite see in photos. It’s become one of those pieces you notice more the longer you live with it.”
