About Beneath the Surface
This series looks closely at the quieter worlds within nature — the places where layers gather, colours shift, and time leaves its marks. Each piece balances organic forms, textured layers, and earthy, elemental colours inspired by earth, water, mineral and ember-warm light to create artworks that feel both grounded and quietly luminous. Together, they explore how growth, erosion, decay, and renewal happen slowly beneath the surface, often unnoticed but always moving.
In making these works, I wanted to capture that feeling of quiet complexity — the sense that even in stillness, something is unfolding underneath. A calm, grounding series for interiors that lean into warmth and natural rhythm.
